**Job Summary**

**AECOM** is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to be based in Houston, TX.

This position is expected to begin in December 2020.

**The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:**

+ Lighting & Power plan layouts and circuiting

+ Fire Alarm, Security, IT and AV plan layouts

+ Short Circuit and voltage drop calculations

+ Mechanical ductwork/piping calculations and layout

+ Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.

+ Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study

+ Intern 2 – completion of second year of qualified study

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursing a Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering, electrical, mechanical engineering, or related field with the intent to continue enrollment after an internship

+ Must have completed two years of study in the applicable program

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

+ Ability to follow direction and manage specific tasks to completion

+ Ability to learn new technologies and concepts

+ Demonstrated leadership abilities

+ Willing to work a variety of tasks alone or as part of a team

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
