Responsibilities and duties:
1- Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
2- Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
3- Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation
4- Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximise network efficiency and security
5- Maximising network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
6- Investigating faults in the network
7- Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
8- Reporting network status to key stakeholders
