S&A Fresh Produce – Herefordshire – We are excited to offer the following full time, permanent vacancy within our R&D and Technical department, based in Marden, Hereford: R&D Plant Breeder The main purpose of the R&D Plant Breeder’s role is the proactive management and development of new soft fruit selections to support the continued expansion and growth of the S&A global breeding programme. This role requires the successful candidate to be enthusiastic, committed, and strongly interested in plants and plant science. The successful candidate will also possess the following skills and previous experience: Bachelor degree in either Biological Science, Botany, Genetics, Agriculture, Horticulture Minimum 3 years experience in Fresh Produce sector Minimum 3 years in Laboratory environment Experience and capability in setting up field trials, writing up, publishing, and presenting findings Experience in interfacing directly with retail customers Experience in managing people We offer 33 days annual leave, pension contributions and scope to uncover your potential with a rapidly expanding, independent business.
