**Job Summary**

**AECOM** is seeking a highly talented attorney to join our corporate legal team as Corporate Counsel.

This role reports to the Corporate Senior Vice President, Deputy General Counsel located in Los Angeles but can be based remotely from any of our major US office locations.

As a key member of a collegial, fast-paced corporate legal team, you will focus on general corporate matters including merger and acquisition transactions, commercial contracts and other general corporate legal matters across a broad spectrum.

**Primary Responsibilities:**

+ Assisting on a variety of corporate transactional matters, including merger and acquisition transactions, commercial contracts across all corporate functions, and corporate finance and treasury transactions.

+ Assisting on a variety of corporate and governance matters related to AECOM Capital, the real estate investment arm of AECOM.

+ Providing timely advice and counsel to senior management by advising on laws, regulations and company policies.

+ Establishing and maintaining best practices, guidance materials, controls and standard contract forms.

+ Working with stakeholders, including other corporate functions, law department colleagues and business operations staff for matters both within and outside of direct subject matter expertise or responsibility.

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of post-graduate relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

+ Juris doctor degree from an accredited law school.

+ Corporate commercial and transactional law experience either within a firm or in-house.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ 3+ years of corporate commercial and transactional law experience in firm and/or in-house environments.

+ Strong analytical, interpersonal, drafting, negotiation and written/verbal communication skills.

+ Excellent judgment with the ability to balance competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.

+ Excellent organizational skills with high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

+ Practical team player with the ability to professionally collaborate in a results-oriented environment.

+ Proven ability to lead transactions and projects.

+ Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and resolve problems.

+ Effectively work in a highly confidential environment with the highest standards of ethics and professional integrity.

+ Graduate of a top- tier, accredited law school.
